Training

• Duration: 5 Weeks depending on the student's progress.
• Classes: Monday - Friday - 09h00 – 15h00
• 2 Weeks Medical and SEPT
• 1 Week AVMED
• 1 Week Passenger Service Training, Dangerous Goods and Practical Exercise
• Week 5 Aircraft specifics and Licensing

Subjects

• Medical: Each student applying for a flight attendants licence at the Civil Aviation of South Africa (CAA) must undergo an aviation medical examination with a CAA approved doctor. The examination includes urine test, eyesight and hearing test, chest x-ray and ECG.

• Sept: Safety Emergency Procedures Training deals with all possible emergencies on an aircraft. Includes the following: Flight Attendant Requirements, standard operating procedures of flight, security, emergency procedures and equipment used on board an aircraft.

• AVMED: Aviation medicine training will enable you to save the life of a passenger if necessary.

• AVMED – Deals with accident injuries such as burns, heart attacks, strokes, asthma, fractures

• Ditching: Are you able to swim, use floatation devices e.g. life rafts and jackets after an emergency in the water.

• Dangerous goods: Articles that can be carried safely through correct packing and packaging

• Fire Fighting: Practical fire fighting in a approved fire trainer,

• Licensing: On completion of the flight attendant course you must successfully pass the CAA exam at the offices in Midrand to obtain a valid cabin crew license to be able to operate on a South African registered aircraft

• Evacuation: Practical evacuation from aircraft with slides
